beautiful weather

well I love fall and this year the weather has been great, cool mornings but gets very nice during the day, harvest is progressing beans are done and corn is coming slow, because of the high wind from the hrricane we have alot of down corn,Chris is going around it some and hopefully we will have another tool to use or have someone harvest it for us,the yield is about 1/2 of the normal BUT we are very thankful for it,as dry as it was this summer things coiuld have been ALOT worse,as always God is good!!Fall also means craft shows!! We went to the really big one in findley last weekend it was very good! We have several we go to each year,it is always very fun time! Today we went to Homer and Roslyn Stutsman 50th anniversary party, they had a very nice party, even Kevin made it home from Arkansas, that made it very special for them!~
Wel;l I hope you are having a very nice fall,God id good isnt he?

harvest!

hi! well harvest is underway,Chris has combined 3 fieldsof soybeans and the yield is pretty low,but with the drought we have had this summer this was expected. It is always neat to see how God works,he is in charge of the crops and we just have to trust Him! Our oldest daughter, Cathy , had a birthday this week, seems like only yesterday she was born! She is doing great teaching in tennessee and we love her and miss her very much! My garden isnt producing much hopefully we will still get a few tomatoes and a few potatoes yet. We have missions conference this week, this is my favorite conference of the year,I soo enjoy getting to know new and renew aquaintances with our some of the missionaries we support. Bro Phil Schipper preaches for us and I love to hear him preach,I am looking forward to his wife and family being with him since they are now traveling togather in a mobile home. We always keep a family and this year we are keeping a family of five,it is always fun to get to know them! Well I hope you have a blessed week, fall is upon us,I enjoy the cool mornings!!

Great summer!

Well it's been a long time since i have written on here,i have tried several times to put on pictures and i just cant seem to make it work. i am NOT computer savvy!
We started the summer with so much rain that we had trouble getting the crops in, all the corn we planted looks good now but for awhile it looked pretty bad, they planted then replanted and sometimes replanted again so the fields look alittle funny.
The whole family took a vacation to South Dakota,we had a really nice and memorable time,I was really impressed with the Badlands and Mount Rushmore was really neat! We took a tour which was nice,we could see all the important things so we didn't miss anything! We visited a town called Deadwood and saw a gunfight in the street and allot old cars and things of famous people including the Herbie car! We also saw the graves of a few famous gunfighters of the old west. What we didnt know is that town is a gambling town ! We also got to see the Nathan and Julie martin, they live in yankton so we stopped and took them out for supper. All in all it was fun trip, alot of fun memories!!
We had the privilege of having Sam Knickerbocker spend some time with us,he is the son of Pete and Isabelle our friends and missionaries to France.
we soo enjoyed having him here a few times while he was working in Lima as a intern at a church.
We have had the girls home a few times each and that has been a blessing! Both are doing very well,Cathy teaching and Carrie as school secretary,I miss them both but i am excited that they are both serving the Lord!
On a sad note our friend and neighbor Trina Gast is suffering in the last stages of cancer and is in alot of pain, please pray for her and her family as they trust the lord to know what's best for them at this time.
Craig begins classes next monday in Lima at UNOH it is a technical school ,he will be studing Ag mechanics,he is excited to get started.
Hope the rest of your summer is great!! love to hear from you.

Busy times!

Greetings!
I'm sorry it's been soo long since i posted, alot has happened around here!
I went back to the Dr.three weeks ago and found out i had somehow pulled one of my anchors partly out of my bone,I had to put my boot back on ,since that time my anchor is once again back in my bone, praise the lord and i am going to be out of my boot by the end of this week!
As you know Chris is very busy this time of year, especially this year with all the rain we have been behind, they got everything planted and then had to do some replanting.I think we are still needing to replant some beans. We were behind in getting the hay made, so last week it was a fight to get the hay made before the rain, then the hay was drier than it needs to be for the silo so they ended up making it dry and blowing it in the barn. This week Chris is trying to get the nitrogen on the corn before it gets too tall to get in the field,so far so good,he has to wait on a applicator soo it is time to do other stuff like fix the truck ect!! Because of the weather and my inability to work in the garden Chris finally planted beans over the weekend but doesn't have anything else done. With my boot i cant do any of that.we aren't planting as big as normal but its still bigger than I want! Besides all that we are having bible School this week, its a blessing Chris didn't have anything to do there this year since he is busy at the farm.
We plan to take a vacation with the kids next week, hopefully we will leave Monday for MT Rushmore,I guess we will all drive since it is a LONG drive! Please pray for safety for us on the roads!
One of Cathy's old roommates and good friend Mary Qualls is getting married this weekend,Craig is going down to Tenn for that, then coming back with Cathy on Sunday,Carrie will also come home sunday afternoon.
Last Monday i had a milestone birthday,Yes 50!! god has been good to me and i am thankful for all the things that he has brought my way! Someone gave me a card that said i hope you have 50 more...well i am not so sure that is what i want,I cant imagine living to 100!!
thanks for reading my post,I trust all is well with you and your families.I sure enjoy reading the blogs that i have address's for it's fun to see what is going on in your world!

Spring is in the air!

Greetings!
It has been awhile since i have updated so i will try to remember everything! My foot is improving very slow! I am milking again full time and doing everything I can in the yard and the house. I am slow at yard stuff but i get alittle accomplished every time i go out. I asked prayer for Denise Brophy, she has taken 2 shots now and is virtually pain free ,praise theLord for that,as they see now no surgery is in the immediate future,God is good!! Chris has begun to plant but it is wet again now he is hoping tomorrow will work, since they are saying rain again on Wednesday night. Craig will be home in about a week,we are looking forward to having him back, chris really misses his help,he will go to northwestern in the fall which is a technical school in lima. Church is going great,God has blessed with about 8 weeks straight of having someone saved, praise the Lord! We are beginning graduation time,Chris's nieces husband Matthew frnch graduates from college tonight.I am sure they are excited about that! We have several graduations here and 2 girls graduating from kindergarten, how exciting!! Well i hope you are all enjoying spring as much as I am!! Have a great5 week and enjoy God's beautiful creation!!

Catching Up

Greetings!!!
Alot has happened since my last post,I am now walking without my boot!It is a blessing!

I am taking therapy and that is helping,I have alot of tenderness and when im on my feet for awhile it swells up. I am milking about an hour every milking now,Is nice to be back doing what im used to doing! I have to sit quite a bit yet ,but that's ok! I hired a couple girls from our church to work in our yard some picking up sticks and raking up the nuts I couldnt get done last fall, they got a start but its far from done.
I asked you topray for Denise Brpohy last post, she went to the surgeon last friday and he is going to do a epideral and see if that helps if not she will have to have surgery. He was alot more comfident about the surgery than her family dr was,he seems to think they could do it without complications so that was a real burden lifted off her! She is in alot of pain so we would appreciate your prayers as she continues to deal with this situation.
Thanks again for your prayers, hopefully I will be back to walking without pain or a limp soon!! Enjoy the spring flowers!!!

Making Improvement

Well I am doing much better, last Tuesday the doctor finally gave me the go ahead to start taking walking alittle at a time on my foot!Glory!!! I had my first shower in over 5 weeks and now i am on a crutch.I started friday putting weight on my foot and by this weekend I will be walking on my own and have my "boot" off! I started physical therapy today and it went well, the therapist was surprised how mobile my foot was,I was glad to hear that, hopefully a few weeks of therapy and working it at home and I will be back to normal,I am READY!!! Thank you everyone for your prayers,I know alot of people have been praying for me and I am very grateful.
On to other news I have a good friend who needs alot of prayer right now,I am asking everyone to pray for Denise Brophy, she was having some pain down her arm and it got bad enough to go to the Dr ,he did a MRI and found she has a bulging disk, herniated disk, and protruding disk in her neck, she is going to see a neurosurgeon on Friday. He dr told her having surgery would be VERY risky, she could be paralysed PLEASE pray for her that God would give the drs wisdom on what to do and that she could recover quickly, thank You!! My sister in law turned 50 this weekend, wow are we getting old or what???
